Looking for an individual(s) who is/are comfortable in a semi-remote location (7 minutes from local town) yet in a private 3,000 acre pasture. Historic cattle ranch (but NO ranching duties involved). Wonderful, cozy (3BR/2BA, 1900sqft) home, 1 mile driveway off paved Hwy 83, 6 mi South of SONOITA, AZ, 50 mi SE of Tucson; on 3,000 acres of beautiful rolling ranch grasslands, dotted with OAK trees. Not a home in sight (nearest neighbors are 1+ mile away, completely out of view). 1 mellow, but massive, dog, Gustavo, a bull mastiff. NO CATS, NO SMOKING. 5,000 ft elevation offers temperate daytime temperatures and cool evenings in the summer. (No cooling in home). Local vineyards & wineries. The Mountain Empire of Southern Arizona offers a unique terrain & spectacular vistas/ scenery, ideal year-round climate. PRIVACY. 18 miles to Patagonia, an artists/writers hamlet; 40 miles to Nogales, Sonora, Mexico; 20 miles to Parker Canyon Lake; 50 miles to Tucson. SECLUDED, QUIET homesite, miles of hiking & bike riding. Nearest neighbor is 1+ mile away.
Amazing hiking/bicycling trails right out the door.
Gustavo = 1 massive Bull Mastiff (he doesn't drool!) who was recently rescued as the breeding stud for a "puppy mill". He's 9 yrs. Beautifully healthy. A true gentle giant. 170 lbs. I refer to him as my "weapon of choice" as I am a single woman living alone in 3,000 acres (and I don't "do guns"). When I am away from home he stays in a large, fenced yard; however, when I'm home he's generally by my side. He sleeps in the Great Room (not my bedroom). He looks frightening but is a sweetheart.
Lovely patio w/big potted flowers that require daily watering (if no rain) in the late Spring - Summer * takes about 30 min total; however in winter no flowers, no watering chores.
Satellite internet w/WiFi; large curved screen HG TV + Amazon Fire; "Dish" TV. All porcelain tile floors; jetted jacuzzi tub; Fireplace in Living Room; Gourmet kitchen. Beautiful covered patio dining. Never had cats or smoking.
I'm looking for someone to keep the home fires burning and keep Gustavo company. He's accustomed to me being gone daily 8-12 hrs, which time he spends in his fenced yard. You'll have your freedom to take "day trips" to Bisbee, Tubac, Tucson, Nogales (AZ + MX - bring your passport if you want to go to MX). Hiking, biking, kayaking, gallery +cafe hopping, wine tasting ... too many fantastic options ... or enjoy the beautiful & placid view from my patio and read a good book or write, make art. Watch movies, I have HBO, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and all the local channels (Tucson).
