Fred is a retired owner of an Independent Insurance Agency and Bobbie is a retired Realtor. We're interested in traveling and spending a little more time in one location than the typical vacation would allow, getting to know the community and staying in a home rather than a hotel. We'll celebrate our 52th anniversary in September, 2024, and are non-smokers and light drinkers. Both of us are COVID vaccinated and boosted.
We've always lived in New England and PA, so travel in the west, southwest, or south in an urban or suburban locale are of interest to us and we prefer to go in winter. We've been bitten by the travel bug and don't want to own a vacation home that we'd feel compelled to go to every winter. We're interested in international house-sits and have traveled often, enjoying Rick Steves Tours, cruises and independent international travel. Micro - term house sits closer to home will also be considered any time of year. Video calls can be used for house-sit interviews.
We are active homeowners who live on Lovell Lake in NH and have owned multiple rental properties so we know how iprtant it is to take care of yours.. We've had dogs, cats, a rabbit and fish and Fred grew up with and cared for horses. We're currently petless, so we can be more carefree, but we'll gladly pamper your pets and strictly adhere to your instructions and their routine. We also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, both our own pets and the pets at our house-sits.
About us: Fred has been a pilot since 1966 with commercial licenses for single engine land & sea with instrument rating & a hot air balloon license. He is past president of a local Rotary Club, and is a do-it-yourself-er, so he is able to trouble-shoot most household problems. He knows how to operate a tractor, a snowblower, a plow truck, and inboard and out-board boats.
Bobbie likes to garden, feed the birds, cook, and do detailed travel planning. She is a Granite State Ambassador for the state of New Hampshire, has been in leadership positions in the Visiting Nurse Assn., the local school board and the local and state REALTOR associations, and has been Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused & neglected children. We both are NH Lake Hosts and we enjoy our 4 grandchildren, our grand-dog, travel, reading, and hiking. Beginning in 1980 we began hosting foreign exchange students in our home and have had at least 15 of them for periods from a week to a year in length. It has been a very enriching experience for our whole family.
Our hope is to have some time to get to know new communities and to see in depth this vast country and beyond. We'll drive or fly to a house-sit, depending on time and distance and we do not expect to be compensated, Please review our attached references. We'd like to hear from you.
