I am a professional musician who works on cruise ships 10 months out of the year. I live on the ship, and only have a storage unit in Phoenix, Arizona, so in between cruise contracts I like to find homes in other locations and explore other places. Despite what many people think when they hear musician, I am a very quiet person and spend most of my days reading (I tend to read upwards of 100 books a year). After making music for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week month after month on the ship, I really need a break from music and will not touch my guitar on my months off, so no worries about loud concerts. Even if I do play music, I'm a quiet acoustic guitar kind of guy.
I had one dog but sadly she passed, and there are no animals on the cruise ship, so I love to spend time with pets and just enjoy walking around and enjoying some fresh air on land.
I am brand new to house sitting but have been an avid host and surfer on Couchsurfing for over 10 years with 140 references on that site (s:// For the moment as I get set on this site, this is the only digital references I have -- I would be happy to forward them on if you'd like and are not on that site -- here are some brief highlights
"Francis was a model CSer...I couldn't have asked for a better guest. He's super friendly, folded his sheets each day and kept all his stuff neat and organized."
"Francis is a nice, easy-going person and very comfortable and undemanding guest. We had even if short, but very nice conversations, and of course, I asked him for a song. He sang for me couple of his favorite songs and shared his favorite music with very beautiful poetical texts. And it was so lovely and cute to see this his side, how much artistic, sensitive and gentle Francis is in his heart."
