I would love to be your pet’s “grandma” while you travel.   Recently retired, I love adventure but I'm not in a hurry.  I like to travel like a local - stroll around the neighborhood, fix my own meals, water the plants and read with a cat on my lap.   Depending on the location and assignment, I might bring my sewing machine and construct quilts while I’m there (if you don’t mind).  (I can also mend and do bookkeeping if you have those needs.) 

As a responsible homeowner myself I will keep the property tidy and can trouble shoot problems should any arise.  I’m a cat person (currently with a 9 yr old DSH), but also fondly had a dog named Fuzzy years ago.  Your family will be my family while I am visiting at your place.

Overall my goals are local and international.  If visiting the Pacific NW (Canada & US) I would bring my car. In the past I have volunteered with non-profit organizations in Central America and Africa.  Hablo espanol.   I’d love 2-3 month house sits where I can take in local culture, nature, history and culinary delights at my own pace.  My bucket list includes New Zealand, Ireland, Great Britian, France, Spain, to name a few specific locations.  I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Jackie absolutely saved the day for me, accepting my housesit at the last minute (week actually) because my scheduled sitter got sick and had to cancel. What a wonderful coincedence because I got to meet and get to know her. She was amazing in caring for the cats which are indoor/outdoor independent beings....and I know she did an amazing job because when I came home the cats were happy (purring loudly).....She communicated regularly with photos and texts so that I could enjoy my time away from my furkids.

Jackie also treated my home as if it were her's....a special plus with a catsitter. 

Because of my very positive experience with Jackie, I highly recommend her services. Her joy will fill your home and her talent with little furkids is heartfelt.

Jackie was an excellent house sitter. Right from the start, she was clear and timely in all our communication. She took great care of our house and garden, treating them like her own. She kept in touch while we were away and left us a thorough exit note when she left the house for the final time. We were very happy to have found her. You will be, too.

My elderly cat misses Jackie so much, she is now spending more time in the bedroom that Jackie slept. Probably waiting for her to return? Jackie made me a beautiful guilted table runner while she sewed her guilted blankets. She brought her sewing machine to keep busy while I was away for two weeks. 
My house was wonderfully clean and my plants were well taken care of too. I didn't worrry about a thing while I was away. I would highly recommend her and if she would house and cat sit again I would love it. Thanks Jackie
