Wonderful Petsitters!

Location Pontevedra Galicia Spain

Jacqueline and Glenn looked after our two cats, Marilyn and Leo, for a month in Pontevedra, Spain.  They are excellent communicators and wonderful petsitters with loads of experience who clearly enjoy caring for animals.  Our two cats took to them immediately.  Marilyn has long hair and needs to be brushed daily.  She also has to take medication on a daily basis.  We could tell from the photos and videos they sent us of them that they were extremely happy and comfortable with Jacqueline and Glenn.  On top of taking such good care of our fur babies our house was immaculate upon our return.  We highly recommend Jacqueline and Glenn if you need reliable, trustworthy pet sitters who will take excellent care of your pets.

I cannot speak highly enough of Crystal. Our early communication made us feel very comfortable with her and that was confirmed during her sit. She came on time, was personable, made us feel at ease immediately and asked all the right questions about our home and the cats. She showed her love of cats off immediately which made us very happy knowing they were in great hands. During our time away, we texted a few times and were reassured that all was well.

Upon our return we found the house had been cleaned top to bottom. The kitties had obviously been very well cared for. And Crystal had gone above and beyond and kept refilling our bird feeders!

We could not have  been happier and would absolutely recommend Crystal to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

We absolutely loved Stephanie and highly recommend her as your next sitter. She loves animals and really engages with them. Stephanie is very independant and outgoing. She had never been to Mexico and does not speak Spanish, but she managed quite well and I think she really enjoyed her time here.

All three of our cats fell in love with Stephanie, even the fickle one, Carmelo, who can be a little shy. And Stephanie kept in touch with us while we were away with pictures and texts. 

Furthermore, the house was immaculate when we arrived home. I really appreciated that.

She was definitely one of our favorite housesitters. Do not hesitate to have her sit for you.

Tranquility in Slovenia

My wife and I had a wonderful time exploring Maribor and surrounding areas. Fiona and Darren are great hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay and they had things on hand for us when we arrived. They made sure that we knew how to get around and they were easy to reach if needed. Molly was a very sweet and well behaved dog. What a great constitution for a 15 year old dog! The house was rustic and comfortable in a quiet rural area and we always felt safe and welcomed by neighbors when walking Molly. Slovenia is a wonderful country!

Relaxing Neighbourhood

I enjoyed my visit to this tranquil area with Dani and Kat both of good disposition and great company.  The homeowner was kind and hospitable and made me feel welcome.  I enjoyed watching the birds and humingbirds that were attracted to the feeders outside of the livingroom window.

I housesat for SueEllen and John for 2+ weeks and loved every aspect of this housesit ! Both of them are lovely people, interesting and personable and I really enjoyed getting to know them before they travelled to the US for time with family and friends.  SueEllen was easy to communicate with, she was organized and she and John introduced me to a few people in the neighbourhood. The home is beautiful, spacious, and I loved hanging out there, particularly on the lovely rooftop terrace. I will not soon forget the Views from up there!  Nor will I forget their kitties - Carmelo (sweet boy), Mario and Daisy - I adored each of them and their personalities! They were such a treat to care for, easy to entice into play and it was a joy to be greeted each morning at my casita door by all three of them. I felt very safe in the house, in the neighbourhood, and I had plenty of free time to venture out each day and explore beautiful San Miguel de Allende. Their home is close to everything, so I walked everywhere, or took local buses. I met so many interesting people, enjoyed hiking , biking, playing Pickleball - and I loved learning the game of Mexican Train !  I found the people of San Miguel de Allende very warm, friendly and helpful. This was one of my favorite housesits for so many reasons - highly recommended !  : ) 

Easy and comfortable Housesit in Santa Cruz with 2 beautiful cats !

I had a wonderful 6week housesit for Pamela's two sister kitties and highly recommend this opportunity to stay/explore in the Santa Cruz area. Pamela was well organized and helpful (detailed information binder) , she took me to various areas to help orient me and we shared a lovely Mexican restaurant meal before she left for her overseas adventures. Pamela warned me that I would likely "not even see her cats", but within days, Luna and Nala were hanging out with me in the livingroom. Nala didn't like to be  approached, but she was happy to just hang out in the same room. Luna was up on my lap and playing "fetch" with hair bands ; )  Both cats loved to watch the birds from the patio door.  I enjoyed their company after coming home after a day of hiking or a morning of Pickleball. There was so much to see and do in the area!  I thoroughly enjoyed watching the surfers in the evenings, too.  If you are looking for a comfortable home in a nice neighbourhood, with easy to care for cats then this is your housesit! I can't wait to go back ! ??

favorite house carer!

Rick and Linda stayed at our home in Portland for a week and took wonderful care of our two sweet pets (dog and cat) and incredible care of our home and garden. They are both so kind and thoughtful and paid great attention to detail when talking about the specifics of our home, and care for our pets. They left our house cleaner than when they arrived, and stayed in communication with us throughout the week. We felt at ease while away from home and so appreciate their care and consideration for our home. We highly recommend them and would love to have them back!

Great housesitters!

We are most thankful to Karen and Alyssa who housesat for us during springmonths while we spent time north! We got regularly reports from them and had mail checked and sent for us through whatsapp.

House was in perfect condition and even stocked with some fresh groeries when our  son first returned back. Garden was beautiful and they had planted seeds that had grown nicely- we now enjoy the ruccola and salad! A little sketch was left to show what was where in the garden. 

Flowers in the house were well cared for.

We really enjoyed to hear about there time exploring our hometown and although we didn´t make it to meet in person we will hopefully meet up later this year!

We highly recommend them as housesitters!!

George & Gracie are the best!

I've sat for Honey a couple of times over the past few years when they had Fred and Sadie.  Sadly, they both died last year and now there's George and Gracie, 9-month-old pups!  They're the youngest dogs I've cared for, a fun change! 

Gracie is so sweet and loves everyone!  George takes a little time to warm up, but with patience and perseverance (and treats!), I prevailed, and we became best buds!  I thoroughly enjoyed taking them to the little community park every day and watching them bounce all over the place! Kudos to Honey in her training of these youngsters; I did my best to reinforce what they've learned.

Honey's house is lovely and very comfortable.  We kept in touch almost daily and the sit went very smoothly.  I look forward to staying with George and Gracie again.

Doug was the perfect housesitter!

Doug was very friendly and responsive from the very start - we felt comfortable about having him stay instantly. He clearly communicated all his travel/arrival plans, and even arrived the day before the sit began to get oriented. He sent pictures of our little Nova & updates while we were away, leaving us assured that our home and kitty were in good hands. We wouldn't hesitate to have Doug stay again, or to recommend him to someone else!

We had the pleasure of caretaking Katarina and Roland's house in Varberg. The house was perfect and we felt at home immediately. We loved hearing about their adventures in the north where deep snow was, while we watched everything coming into bloom. Sunlight streams into the kitchen in the morning and warms the sunroom in the afternoon, so the house was always a great temperature. It was fun to explore the beaches and historic places around the town, all easily accessible by bicycle or on foot. Varberg is famous as a spa town and we took advantage of the various warm and cold bathhouses and spas! We had fun turning the compost and planting the spring garden! We had a wonderful experience!

New Mexico Paradise

We’ve had a fantastic time housesitting for Arthur & Nan, who were very gracious and generous as our hosts. Their cozy and spacious, New Mexico adobe style house felt like home the minute we walked in - everything was ready for us, including dinner & wine. The house has all amenities and more (inclusive of detailed manual for housesitters) – it was very easy to take care of and we enjoyed feeding the birds! It is located in a wonderful, large, but quite community about 15 miles from center of Old Town Santa Fe. There are several walking paths available immediately outside the house, as well as a Rail Trail (for walking or biking) that can be taken directly into Santa Fe (if one wanted to do so). The views of the mountains from the back porch are just like from South West paintings, especially at sunset and stargazing is incredible at night (eye opening if you are used to living in a large metropolitan area). The house was our hub for exploring Santa Fe and various nature & culture parks of Northern New Mexico, while providing a comfortable and homey retreat for the off days. Communication with Arthur & Nan was excellent before, during and after our stay (they also provided numerous recommendations for restaurants and places to visit). We also had an opportunity to meet face to face – we certainly feel like we’ve made beautiful new friends!

Vlad & Inna were excellent house carers while we were away for three weeks.

We first agreed with Vlad & Inna to housesit in the fall of 2023.  When we had to cancel they were understanding & gracious.  We found working with them a positive experience, so we again asked them to housesit for us in April 2024.  Happily for us they agreed.  We had great communication with Vlad & Inna prior to April and while we were gone to work out details of their stay and to keep in touch.

Vlad & Inna were excellent house carers.  They enjoyed our home and left it feeling well taken care of.  No pets, but house plants and outdoor greenery were well attended to. The house was clean and orderly, just as we left it.  We apprciated very much the treats, home prepared meals and drink they left for us - especially after a long journey home.

They enjoyed the use of a vehicle while housesitting and left it washed, clean and with a full fuel tank. 

We enjoyed the notes they left about things they did and liked in the house.  We recommend Vlad & Inna as housesitters!

Our dog Mattie really enjoyed her time with Dawn and her daughter Jelly.  Importantly these great pet sitters were flexible regarding start and end arrangements, and very reliable communicators.  They kept us informed of Mattie's wellbeing and activities, which provided us great peace of mind.  And when we returned, our condo was spotless and in perfect condition.  We highly recommend Dawn (and Jelly)!

Great cat sit in Roda de Barra

We really enjoyed looking after Ray and Barbara's 3 indoor and 3 outdoor cats. The house is comfortable and well equipped. There is a nice,  sunny garden with lots of different places to sit and a great barbecue.

The coastline is really beautiful with lovely walks and places to eat. Ray and Barbara were very welcoming and helpful hosts. We would thoroughly recommend this as a house sit.

You can't go wrong with Beth and James! From the first moment we met, they felt like friends that you have known for a while. They have warm personalities and are intentional. Our dog Molly, quickly got comfortable around James and Beth. She is usually super cautious, but it was apparent, she was going to have a great time with them. It was wonderful to have peace of mind that Molly was in good hands as well as our home. We received pictures and text updates. They took her to the dog park regulalry and out adventuring. She was in dog heaven! We came home to a very tidy and clean house. Beth and James take care of the home with so much respect and love. I wouldn't hesitate to have them come back for a future house it. If they are available, you should hands down say YES!

We highly recommend this housesit. The caretaker's unit was private and well appointed and the property is just outside of town with easy access to National Forest trails. Homeowners are super welcoming and very easy to communicate with before, during and after the sit.

Fantastic Petsitters

Kerry and Lionel are the easiest going pet sitters you will ever meet.  They are both kind, compassionate and very responsible. 

They arrived three days earlier than my departure date to get familiar with the routine and fur babies.  I liked them both immediately, needless to say so did my animals.

They kept in regular contact to let me know if there were any problems, however I was not worried at all as they are very capable of making decisions when necessary. 

They left the house spotless and did some odd jobs for me.  My animals were well cared for along with daily brushing for some and even a hair cut for the long haired dog.   I believe my furbabies missed them when they moved on. 

I would highly recommend Kerry and Lionel for any pet sit, they are truly fabulous. 

I miss them both, we became good friends and enjoyed good times and chats together. 

Do not hesitate to get them, if they become available, you definitely will not regret it.  I was extremely happy and stress free. 

Jackie was amazing

My elderly cat misses Jackie so much, she is now spending more time in the bedroom that Jackie slept. Probably waiting for her to return? Jackie made me a beautiful guilted table runner while she sewed her guilted blankets. She brought her sewing machine to keep busy while I was away for two weeks. 
My house was wonderfully clean and my plants were well taken care of too. I didn't worrry about a thing while I was away. I would highly recommend her and if she would house and cat sit again I would love it. Thanks Jackie
